На сегодняшний день татары в республике занимают 3 место по численности населения после русских и бурят.

Об этом рассказала председатель Автономии татар Бурятии Сажида Баталова.

Ведущие телепередачи «Татарлар», которая освещает жизнь татар, живущих в России, рассказали о жизни татар на Байкале и деятельности Автономии татар Бурятии.

"Появление поволжских татар на территории Бурятии началось с заселением Восточной Сибири и Дальнего Востока и налаживанием торговых и производственных отношений этих регионов с Центральной Россией. В 1870 году в Забайкальском казачьем войске числились 108 мусульман-татар (с семьями). Более половины татар, записанных в купечество, жили в Верхнеудинске, составляя 6,2% городского купечества", - говорит Баталова.

Фильм о татарах Бурятии ТНВ покажет в январе 2020 года.
